So I'm trying to participate on that other contest "Who I am" or something. It ends really quick -.- I'm not sure if I'll finish it on time.

And my FIRST commission!!!!! I'm so thrilled! wants me to make a traditional full body drawing representing a geisha watching a cherryblossom. I hope I don't disappoint him! Thank you!!!

*By sending me a note requesting a commission, I trust that you have searched through my gallery and have an idea about the mediums I use and my style in general. If you want something different, please note me so we can discuss it.*

So how does this work?
To order a commission all you have to do is to send me a note.

I’ll draw a preliminary sketch and show it to you, so that you can tell me if you want some changes done. I will only start working on the real picture after receiving the money. I give a lot of myself to this, it would be difficult for me that after all this work I wouldn’t get paid.

Very detailed backgrounds, environment and all the elements except the main figure have an additional cost, and should be discussed.

I’m always open to negotiations

As the artist, I retain all rights to the artwork produced. You may not redistribute, sell, use for your website, banner, crop it, or use for commercial use without my permission – unless previously agreed otherwise.

I retain the right to refuse any commission.

These commissions are my only means of income. It means that my subscriptions and my support in general come from this. So, for a limited time (I hope), this prizes will be as low as that, until I get some cash flow. Please understand.

Contest theme: What type of queen/king would you be?

Deadline: From today until 16th May 2009. A whole month. But if you really want to participate and need more time I can reconsider if you only send me a note with the reasons.

Mediums allowed: Digital art; Traditional art; Literature... The only pre-requisite is that you keep to the theme.

What I really want:
For those who choose to paint/draw, you can choose whether a past environment or a present/future one. But you must represent a scene where you (your representation of a ruler - you can be a queen/king, but an emperor as well, but you are the one in charge) act the way you cherish the most.

Example: If I was in charge in my country/world/universe (c'mon, don't be modest!) I'd like my subjects to be always happy and laughing. What would I draw? Maybe myself looking through a window to a circus. Or even more simple, myself with a clown nose (those reddish noses) holding a child crying with laughter.

See what I mean? Just let your imagination float. Who didn't want to be a queen/king when they were children?

It's practically the same for those that choose literature. It can be a past/present/future environment and you're in charge of your kingdom. Describe your deeds as a queen/king, or even imagine a bard declaiming a beautiful song about you and your kingdom. You can as well tell a story where you perform a deed that resumes what you cherish the most.

If you have any doubts please send me a note, I know this theme can be tricky but I was trying to do something new!

The contest will be judged by *Obscure-Beauty; ~CyberSardinha and ~TheDarkEnlightened. So if you can't participate for some reason but would like to be a part of this, just tell me. I'll also hold a poll for the public's choice.
